1.1 Overview and Scope
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Vocalello AAC mobile application (the “App”) provided by SpeeNeeds (the “Service Provider”). Vocalello AAC is an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) application designed for individuals with speech or communication challenges and their caregivers or specialists. By accessing or using the App, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these terms.
1.2 Subscriptions and Access
Vocalello AAC is free to use during a trial period. After the trial period, the App is fully locked, and a subscription is required to unlock all features. Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store and are subject to their terms and conditions. Any subscription plan grants full access to the entire App without restrictions on specific features.
1.3 User Conduct
You agree to use the App responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws. Prohibited activities include:
- Using the App for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.
- Attempting to reverse-engineer, modify, or distribute the App or its content.
- Interfering with the App’s functionality or security features.
- Engaging in any activity that harms SpeeNeeds, its users, or third parties.
1.4 Intellectual Property
All content and features within the App, including but not limited to screens, designs, communication boards, symbols, text, graphics, audio, and software, are the exclusive intellectual property of SpeeNeeds and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The unique features of Vocalello AAC are proprietary, and any imitation, replication, or adaptation of these features by others constitutes a violation of SpeeNeeds’ rights.
Without prior written consent from SpeeNeeds, you may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or redistribute any portion of the App’s content.
- Use the App’s unique features, concepts, or content to develop competing products or services.
- Distribute or modify the App’s content in any medium, including digital or physical formats.
User-generated content, such as custom symbols or communication boards, remains your property but must not be used to create derivative works or competing products. SpeeNeeds reserves the right to pursue legal action for any violations of these terms.
1.5 Termination
SpeeNeeds reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at its sole discretion if you violate these Terms of Use, engage in harmful conduct, or misuse the App.
1.6 Limitation of Liability
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. SpeeNeeds is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or functionality.
1.7 Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from your use of the App will be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where SpeeNeeds is incorporated. You agree to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, binding arbitration.
1.8 Modifications to These Terms
SpeeNeeds may update these Terms of Use periodically. The latest version will be available on this page and/or in the Apple App Store listing. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Privacy Policy
2.1 Information Collection
Vocalello AAC does not collect any data whatsoever from your device. All user data, including communication inputs and custom content, remains on your device and is neither transmitted nor shared in any form.
2.2 Offline Operation
The App operates entirely offline after installation. All functionalities, including symbol creation and communication board management, are processed locally on your device, ensuring no data leaves your device.
2.3 Permissions and Purpose
The App requests the following permissions, all processed locally:
- Microphone: Used for voice input to support communication features.
- Photos & Media: Allows adding custom images or symbols to communication boards, stored locally.
These permissions are used solely for core functionalities and are never used for marketing, analytics, or data sharing.
2.4 Third-Party Access
Since no data is collected, no data is shared with third parties. The App does not integrate third-party SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising services.
2.5 Children’s Privacy
Vocalello AAC is designed for individuals with communication challenges, their caregivers, and specialists, and is not targeted directly at children. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age. If you believe a child has used the App, please contact us at SpeeNeeds@takhatoby.com to address any concerns. In some jurisdictions, users must be at least 16 years old or have parental consent to use the App.
2.6 Data Retention and Deletion
As no data is collected, there is no data retention. User-generated content (e.g., custom symbols or boards) is stored locally on your device and can be deleted by uninstalling the App.
2.7 Security
All data is processed and stored locally on your device, leveraging standard device-level security measures. SpeeNeeds implements safeguards to protect the App’s integrity and prevent unauthorized access to its content.
2.8 Jurisdiction-Specific Rights
Vocalello AAC complies with global privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the EU and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). Since no data is collected, most privacy rights (e.g., access, deletion, portability) are not applicable. However:
- GDPR: You may contact us to confirm that no data is retained or to file a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
- CCPA/CPRA: California residents may confirm that no information is collected or shared. Contact us to exercise your rights.
- CalOPPA: The App does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals, as no tracking occurs.

2.9 Policy Updates
